This magnificent guide book of 240 pages may be the only one dedicated solely to Luxembourg. In the past I have seen one published by Michelin, but it was nowhere near this good. Other guide books allot 20 to 40 pages buried in the back of books on Belgium or The Netherlands. It is filled with numerous helpful maps, excellent descriptions on hundreds of sights and attractions, beautiful photos, and helpful contact information and times of operations. Luxembourg was the scene of much of the Battle of the Bulge in World War II. It has a very large number of memorials to our American troops and General George Patton. It is home to Hamm Cemetery, where the General and over 5,000 of our troops are buried, the largest piece of US soil outside our country. It is also one of the three headquarters countries for the European Union. I highly recommend this book for anyone traveling to this area of Europe, especially to someone of Luxembourg ancestry.
Nice book that is JUST Luxembourg and not Lux plus some other country. We are new residents in Luxembourg. After reading through this book, it now stays in our car so that when we "happen upon" something, we can look it up quickly in "the" book.
Took this with me to Luxembourg this summer. Very helpful travel book. Used it in the capital city and in the countryside.
Reasonably detailed, but not much depth and the maps are hard to follow
This is an excellent guide! I have found none other that goes into such detail on this tiny country. I am leading a hiking trip there next year and this has an amazing amount of info. Most books deal with all the Benelux countries and give Luxembourg short shrift.
