Love the index of health conditions and the specific vitamins/minerals for remedies or just overall good health. Also, suggested foods to eat more of for stages of life and what vitamins/minerals should ingest. Unlike many health books, this is just information for conditions and the like, and not half the book being spent on the author's journey to getting healthy.
My often reference. I learned it with a big delight and easiness. easy to follow and clear and engaging. the pictures and pages make it pleasing. I learnt so much about each fruit, vegetables, and and what kind of vitamins, minerals and substances they create. The directory of illnesses and what food is recommended is excellent. Well organized and easy to use. Very thorough and easy to use--answers a lot of questions because it's very comprehensive.
Put this book along with Gillian McKeith's You are what you Eat, and you are on a very informative path toward health.
I don't know how this book hasn't been in my life earlier, but I am so grateful it is now. You can read the whole thing or just flip through it. I enjoy discussing issues with my friends and looking through "The Food Bible" to help them get through their issues. The first part is explanation of nutrition and the second half is all broken up into sections of food to cure what ails you. You can look up Hangovers to Anxiety and it will tell you what you should avoid eating and what you should be eating with some recipes as well. I love Gillian and am so grateful for her passion to improve our lifestyles.
Love this book! I would recommend it to anyone who is sick of wasting money on expensive perscriptions. I know that sometimes it is necessary to take persciptions drugs, but a lot of illnessess could be avoided if we'd just eat correctly.
